3.0 PCV Valve Relocation (easy/quick change)

Well I had to pull the intake manifold off to fix a coolant leak at the water distribution block today and while the intake mani was off I decided to relocate the PCV valve, so in the future I can change it without having to pull the intake mani.

I will also be adding a oil catch can in the future. Here are the pics and how I did it.

(Intake Manifold removed and the lower intake tapped off so nothing falls in.)

(what is left of the grommet that the pcv valve mounts into, this was no longer soft rubber it was rock hard.)

(New grommet much better.)

(90deg elbow will be used in the grommet then a rubber hose will relocate the PCV)

(New PCV Valve top and reducer bellow)

(all mounted and ready to go)

Hope this help it was super easy to do.

Chris

When I first installed it I did install it backwards lol you have to think about it when you put it in the line, however I did flip it around and that pic shows the correct direction.

No worries, I will be ordering a oil catch can after seeing how nasty the intake track was from the PCV and installing it with lots of pics ASAP.

Agree oil catch cans are worth it, they keep the intake all nice and clean.

i think it takes about 15 minutes start to finish and costs total (it you get new hoses and clamps) 15$ or less
