3.0 Exhaust manifold gasket replacement

Hi all, my 89 3.0 seems to have developed a leak at one of the cylinders on the driver side. I'm looking at it trying to determine if it is possible to do with the engine still in the truck. Does anyone have any tips on how to reseal it/remove the driver exhaust manifold on a 3vze?

You need to remove the cross-over. The "secret" is to use a flex-head ratchet.

You'll need to remove the exhaust pipe from underneath. You'll need a long extension to do it. Don't mess with a silly stack of 3/8"x3" extensions, just get a set like these:
https://www.harborfreight.com/4-pc-1...set-61968.html (These lock together, reducing the chance of dropping one on your head.)

You may need to remove the induction plumbing to get enough room.

Other than that, easy-peasy.
