Just to correct you.
Trucks/4runners had the 3vze single overhead cam 12valve - The camrys had the 3vzfe dual overhead cam 24valve

The 92-93 Camry and the 92-93 ES300 used the 3VZ-FE DOHC Transverse mount 3.0l V6.
The Trucks and 4Runners used the 3VZ-E Traditional mount SOHC 3.0L V6.
NONE of the parts are interchangable. You cannot swap trannys from one to another.

IIRC the heads of the 3vzfe can be bolted up to the 3vze block but you have to other mods for the timing belt, water pump etc. There is a guy who was going through the process of just that on here, I dont think his thread has been updated in awhile, try searching.

The Camry (3vz-fe) engine IS more powerful on paper, than the 4runner/truck engine (3vze). But keep a few things in mind - the reason for this improved power is the fact the Camry engine has dual overhead cams, which helps it breath, but also keep in mind that car engines are also usually tuned to have their power and torque higher up in the RPM band which is means power output isn't as dependant on displacement -you can usually tune an engine low on displacement (eg 3 liters in this case) to have higher up HP and torque but you can't have low end torque without displacement if that makes sense. The 3vze is tuned for low end torque and it's low end torque is very good for the displacement. But I would imagine if Toyota or someone wanted to rework the 3vze, they could probably tune it to have excellent high end hp and torque as well but that isn't as desireable in a truck motor.
