2nd gen automatic dual transfer case option

just in case anyone was interested..... read this in a magazine over the weekend while i waiting getting my truck serviced....

"Double Down That Toyota Automatic
Until now, owners of '84 - '95 Toyota pickups didn't have the choice of using dual transfer cases with an automatic transmission. Skyway Transmission has developed an adapter that joins the A340H automatic transmission to the standard Toyota geardriven transfer case. The new adapter called the Gear Slug, comes with a protective skidplate to help prevent expensive damage from jagged rocks. Another benefit of this setup is that both front and rear driveshafts will be nearly identical in length after the install. Information: 530/872-1418."

there was also a photo of the dual transfer case, but my cellphone camera was not good enough to capture, just good enought to get the text only.

just wondering "what benefits are there in having dual tranfer cases? please enlighten...

thanks
Jay-Q
