2nd gen 4runner AC in 89 Pickup

Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked before but I looked and didn't see anything on this exact question. Anyways as the title states I'm looking to add A/C into my 89 Pickup and had a question. I've done some looking for local donor rigs for this conversion and I have yet to find a parts truck with A/C but there is a few 3vz 2nd gen 4runners locally that have A/C in them so would all the parts off a V6 4runner swap into a V6 Pickup without issue? Thanks.

You might get the stuff under the hood to fit, but not in/under the dash.

Are the 4runner and pickup dashes not the exact same?

I take that back. Maybe. It would depend on the production date of your vehicle, but the biggest issue would be the evap box. If your donor vehicle has the same dash than the hardest part to get to fit should be ok.

Sounds good. Im hoping to find a donor 4runner with all the options and swap over all the power window, locks, ac etc over to my truck. The hard part is finding a donor as here in Canada most of them have been crushed by now as the frames and bodys rotted off them 20 yrs ago lol.

Most of the crucial AC parts are available new from Denso at pretty fair prices. Compressor with cutch, condenser, evap core, expansion valve, and receiver drier.
The Toyota O-rings (90099-14044,14045,14046) are compatible with both R-12 and R134.
