22ret Pistons
#3
If you want forged, you can do LC engineering, which sells CP Pistons..
(Note DOA and Rick at Fullboogie.net also sell 'em and may cut you a little better break)
Otherwise http://www.venolia.com/ - they do forged also.
Both vendors do custom exclusively - so they can do low compresson stuff.
Venolia is significantly less expensive than CP.
From what I've been told, the stock cast pistons - 22re / 22rte are good for about 200hp.

22RE to 22RE-T
So basically you can turbo a 22R, fuel inject it then turbo it. Thats what makes these engines so damn bad ass. So many possibilities! =)

I'd love to see a "budget" turbo motor and would support getting that done at a reasonable cost on the EFI side. 22RTE pistons into a 22RE block, EFI retune, t3/t4. Keep it under 200hp for reliablity.. It'd be like having 2x22re motors in the place of one, a stock 22RE only puts down about 80-90 RWHP.

I plan on running 10psi of boost or lessand was told that engnbuilder pistons would hold up fine as long as I run an intercooler.
Has anyone ever put an intercooler on one of these trucks if so got any pics?
