22RE TPS issue. Please Help!!!

I pick up a new throttle position sensor from the dealership today. They looked the part up by my VIN#. Problem is, I dont think its the correct one. Please forgive my lack of correct terminology, but the blade on the trottle body that turns the TPS is positioned 90 degrees different than the TPS, so when I install the TPS it is already at its fully open position. I'm wondering if someone before me has replace the throttle body with a different model? Can someone help me wiht this

Heres a Picture.

Is there a difference in the Throttle Body on early 89' models compared to the later 89 models? Are there any numbers on a TB so I can get the TPS that is suppost to go on it. If the previous owner put a different TB on it, I wont be able to get a TPS based on the manufacture date, I would need one to fit the TB.

Toyota lists 2 different TPS for 1989 pickups. Up to 03/89 and After 03/89. My truck is 04/89 so I got the "after 03/89" TPS. But I think I need the older one. Maybe my truck accidently got the older version when it was manufactured.

yes there are different throttle bodies AND a correspondingly different upper intake plenum (manifold) and 89 would be the approximate year the change was made.
what are the part numbers on the original and new TPS?
(should be a 10 digit number separated by a hyphen after the 5th digit)

Old one was aftermarket and numbers were worn off. new one is 89452-14050. I think I may have found the answer I was looking for here

Even though my truck says 04/89 I believe it somehow left the factory with the early model parts on it. Mistakes can happen I guess, especially when you convert to different parts in one month.

yeah, they try to have a cut-off month, but sometimes production doesn't agree and you get that "last one off the shelf even though it should've been taken care of already" truck.
