22RE test connector-make it yourself

This might have been covered already. But if anybody is having trouble finding something to jump the test connector with just grab a piece of coat hanger or bailing wire. Cut to length, 5 inches or so, and use a hammer to flatten the end enough to fit. With the thicker wire it is easier to keep track (mine is hanging in my engine compartment) of than a paper clip and it works just as well.

I have a paper clip and/or piece of wire in my ash tray at all times.

I keep my paperclip wrapped around the wires on the test connector.

I took an idea from 4crawler. I made up a switch panel in my engine bay and used flat connectors to wire it up. Also have another switch for work lights mounted under the hood.

That's a cool idea! You should put that switch under your dashboard, tho, read your codes without having to pop your hood...
