22re running rough after water encounter
posted up a few days ago some pics of my truck after a run in with a underwater bank..
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f5/look-before-you-leap-not-after-85947/
ran good right after i dryed out the distributer...let it dry for a few days and today i went to take it out and its running like crap...rough idle and lots of black smoke when i stop on it....revs fine but misses a little just off idle..i read other proples problems with this but none encountered water damage....
trying to narrow it down for you guys....
- plug wires are pretty new with good connection...
- distributer is dry with clean terminals and good connections...
- airbox plug is dry and undamaged....and i didnt suck water when i went down
- TPS...read alot of problems with this but it doesnt make a damn difference when its pluged in or not....runs the same...but that has been like that even before i sank the truck...
-fuse box by drivers left foot did get completely soaked
-i hear a small leak comming from i believe teh EGR inlet to the intake on the back of the intake manifold...small hsss noise....
-vacume lines are connected and no leaks found
-the exhaust got pretty banged up when i pulled out...and the 02 is old...failed o2 sensor?
-disconnected the battery and reset it...nothing changed
thats all i got as of right now...
thanks for the help....

-tightened that leak...no difference..
-also, that tube for the idol...when i disconnected it from the bottom of the intake mani...no change in how it runs...inside of that thing it connects to on the bottom of the intake mani is pretty crusty....
not sure on where to start with this one
