22re and rpms

i got bout 1000 miles on new motor. it runs and pulls great. i really have not pushed it that hard yet. so tonight i wound it a little tighter than i have been. at bout 2200 rpms it starts soundin like things are gonna fly out of it. no knockin or tickin. is this normal? thanks

piston slap??? Check valve lash, all of your clearances on your exhaust, and your ignition timing... Hope that helps!
