22re Rebuild dvd...
Has anyone used this Dvd at all? Or have they purchased it? Is it really a good buy? Haha well I just bought it so I guess if no one else has bought this or seen it I could do some kind of review? But I mean for 15 bucks it was worth a shot. And I know what some people are gonna say. "Dude all you need is the FSM, and thats free online." And I say tough haha.

Oh and the reason for my rebuild. After timing cover set, and like 5 miles. Yeah it went from brand new oil to chocolate milk in like 5 miles, if that. So something is wrong..

well it has 258k miles so I figure I might as well. Because it might be a crack in the block or something. Im hoping its a head gasket but my compression was fine. Im treating it as more of a learning experience haha. Plus its not my daily driver.

Videos are a greater improvement over a plain manual. They show techniques and specific ways to remove parts, rather than the detailed FSM, "Remove the whatchamacallit"
Once you get it let us know how it is, I'd buy one if it's worth it.

Alright so the DVD came today. Just in time too since we just took the engine out today aswell haha. Well the DVD is 35 min long and he just talks about the basics more or less about rebuilding an engine. He doesn't go in to too much detail about the whole thing but all in all it was pretty informative. Idk how useful it will be to others, but to me its well worth the 15$

If that is the one from Jeff Bryant , I bought one a few months ago on ebay , its not as detailed as you would think he skips some steps assuming you know what he just did . No measuring of the cams ,cranks and stuff like that.
But its only $15 and does help a little .
