22re mods
ok guys dont get to rough with me. I am getting ready to go through my 88 truck it has a 22 re and am curious about some not to expensive performance mods. I am just goin to be turnin 33`s, is there any sugs.

Header- $250-500, maybe 10bhp
Cam- $150 + head gasket replacement- moves torque peak around
'82 Supra AFM- $50- 750, ?
cleaning- free, depends
flywheel mass- $200?, gives more low end torque BUT hampers reving
Porting and polishing ?, ?

I'd say pull that big @$$ bail of hay out of the back. I bet you see an instant increase in felt power.......
There really isn't a lot that can be done with these motors and I think Matt covered all the good ones.

Lemme add to it..
You can nickel and dime this thing to death and it wont get any better after all this is done, you might get 140-150 HP out of it doing all this, if you want power do a Lexus V8 swap, or Turbo it.. Your call.. Its a FORKLIFT engine, they aren't porche's.. 
Header- 300-500$ NWOR makes a good one..
Cam + head gasket replacement. 100-150$ Enginebuilder makes good cams..
'82 Supra AFM- 50-75$ Junkyard..
Cleaning-Degrease engine, clean throttle body, seafoam. 10$
Heavy Flywheel & Stage I Centerforce Clutch- 300$?, More low end torque but slows revving.
Porting and polishing Free-100$
ACCEL Wires + NGK Plugs 50$
Distrubutor Recurve Kit 20$
Free Flow Exhaust 100$ if DIY, Prolly 300$ for a shop to do it.
Milled Head 100$
