Hey so I blew my head gasket a little while back and over the course of a few weeks have replaced the head gasket, timing chain/cover, oil pump, water pump, and cleaned up the exterior of the engine. after putting it all back together it started up really nicely.
trying to time the thing and first of all when i tried jumpering in the diagnose box nothing happend with the idle. i have a check engine light on and it was code 31 only. AFM wireing.... the afm tested ok.
well i got it driveable only problem was it would bog under load so i had to accelerate slowly to get to work. for some dumb reason i tried to see if disconnecting the knock sensor would help. as soon i as disconnected the sensor it stopped turning over. obviously i tried plugging the sensor back in and now it still wont turn over. im at a freaking loss now....
please help

Sounds like in pulling off the knock sensor wire .You also got the wire going to the starter solenoid as well.
If you didn`t pull it off it moved enough to no longer make contact .
That is the only thing you were close to!!

did you swap your battery and intake? I had this same issue when I swapped my bat and air box and found out I rewired 2 wires wrong. It would bog down and stall out so I had to accelerate slowly to compensate for the bogging down

If your idle does not drop when you jump the pins your TPS sensor is not set up right or is bad. The IDL - E2 pins must close on the TPS for the timing to go to 0 when the jumper is set.
