22-R head swap???

A friend of mine has a 1984 toyota pickup with the 22-R. I have heard that you get higher compression, thus more horsepower&torque if you swap on a 20-R head. Is this even possible??? If it is, is it true???

yes its possible on an early block, but you also have to swap the intake. it bumps the comprestion a little, but befits more form the intake ports "at higher revs" but will also kill the lower end torque. just do some clean up work on the 22r head
