1st Gen 4Runner: Aftermarket shackle width question

I just ordered a set of OME leaf springs and OME bushings. I want to go with greaseable bushings during the install but don't want any additional lift from what the springs offer.

I noticed that some aftermarket shackles are a true "H" shape and others are wider on the frame end and smaller at the spring end. I'm trying to make sense how these are all supposed to fit.

My question, if I go with an "H" shape hanger, will I need some spacers on both sides of the bushings to compensate for the spring being narrower than the frame end? Does this make sense?

The true "H" shape is for first generation 4runners and pickups from 1988 and older. The other shackles are for the pickups from 1989 to 1995. These were to accommodate a wider leaf spring to help prevent the rear-end sag. Since you have a first generation 4Runner, you are going to need the "H" shape ones. The ones that are wider on one end might work. But I wouldn't know for sure. I would just pick up the parts that are meant for your year and model.
