I've been thinking about painting the chrome areas myself. Did you just paint over the chrome? or did you have to take it off somehow. Spray paint or some kind of automotive body paint?
BTW your truck looks pretty sweet. Im not digging the 9.50" though. 10.5" would have made it a little more aggressive, but its your rig..not mine.

I'm in the same boat as you are. I Hate the chrome on these toyotas, they make it look tacky and a little cheap. Thats just my opinion though.

By request from original poster (4x4Yota) some updated shots. Basically the same minus some stuff and more stock looking: Next up, herculine the rockers, remove tailgate lettering, try to pop out a few dents, and reinstall the rear bumper until I get the loot for a Marlin Crawler one. Maybe get some sliders too. Oh, and I have a new set of Hella 500 fogs I'll get around to installing sometime this week.

I'd like to see some better shots of your truck too, like maybe the whole thing from a few angles like I did, I'm still trying to grasp how incredibly tall and narrow those tires are.

if you want to do it right mite think of just adding a small spacer suspension lift which only run about $400 hundred or less for your truck 2-3 hour install for a ameture no exessive body flex and less work less noise and better ground clearence

As in what, Ball Joint spacers? Coil spacers are not an option for this truck since its T-bars up front and Leafs in the rear. Not sure if thats what you were referring to or maybe a body lift. I'm assuming you're not talking about a body lift since you said "small spacer suspension lift".
