1994 toyota 3.0

I owned a 1990 v6 3.0 and it SUCKED! The exhaust valve went bad, and the head gasket. Anyway, theres a guy selling a toyota with a 1994 v6 3.0, are the 1994's built better than the 1990s? What are the flaws of the 1994 i should be aware of before buying it? Thank you! any knowledge helps!

They are built pretty much the same. Some people have bad luck with their 3vze's. Mine has treated me very well. *knock on wood*

The '91 and '94 are nearly identical. The '94 is derated by 10hp to meet emissions and a couple sensors have changed as well (no improvements, just different.) The head gasket issue is the same.

As long as you don't wreck the 3.turd if/when the head gaskets go it'll do the job it was designed for IF you leave it stock.

When you start screwing with it trying to get more HP you are opening a can of dead worms. The return on investment is not there. You'll spend big bucks for tiny gains and make it unreliable.

If a stock turd is fast enough for you, leave it the heck alone and run it till it dies. If it's not, swap in something better like the 3.4.
