1994 pickup 22re exhaust donuts

Hi Got a question for u guys i put new exhaust donuts about a month ago between the manifold and y pipe. So now they have burnt out all the gasket material and all is left is the metal ring and a nice exhaust leak .see pics.What could have caused this just put in 2 new ones let see what happens?

Did you get the correct ones for that position ??

I think in my exhaust I have like 3 different part numbers and they are all different.

I had the problem of them burning out when the wrong ones were installed

Yes they looked good fit right, got them from ENGNBLDR head set. I got the new one from autozone let see what happen tks for the help.

Could be a fluke bad part. If it was very problematic Tod and Ted would know and I expect done or said something about it.

They are compression fittings of a sort they can be over or under tightened which destroys them.

Looks like they burnt up due to blow by. So too loose too tight installed crooked or in the wrong location. Make sure you clean up the pipe and flanges with a soft metal brush (brass or copper) not a steel brush or file these will deform the seat and cause blow by.

Update the autozone seals seem to be working fine on leaks yet??
