But like I said, I have tried distributor after distributor and no avail. I just checked the wiring from distributor to the computer and it's a-okay. I've got my buddy coming over with a computer as we speak, and we'll see if that gets her going... but somehow, I doubt it.....
if everything is as you say , then i would try another ecu next .

yo brother. Like I said in the beginning of this thread, every Internal Combustion Engine needs three things to start: Fuel, Spark and Compression. Start there, in your case. I'd start with spark. Make sure your spark plug wires are sparking the plugs. Get a 5$ spark checker at your local harbor freight or auto parts house

ok, my spark is good but today i discovered it is flooding like crazy. plenum is full of fuel, plugs are wet. blew plenum out with air and now it tries to start but the fuel just dumps into plenum. maybe, a vacuum line/fuel line crossed? geez...

no start

mine did that no start thing and it turned out to be the relay on the under the hood fuse box. A big relay that i didnt check till after i broke a fuel line taking the tank off. Then i propped open the afm turned the key on and when i wiggled the relay, the fuel pump came on. And sprayed fuel all over the back seat but problem found. Make sure to check the relay there. Everything else was working fine.

I unplugged the vacuum line from brake booster to right side of intake/plenum and also the line I have going to/ or from the fuel line coming out from under the plenum. truck starts but Im not sure of what lines go where. Fuel is blowing out line when running and Im not sure what line goes there...lol!!! Can you say dumbass!

An update!!!!

it fired two cylinders yesterday in the afternoon and then cranked after that. It was after I pinned the throttle plate open for several hours (let the fuel evaporate out of the intake) and unplugged the cold start injector. no luck getting it to fire since, but I have narrowed it down to fuel mixture. any help?

Got mine going and drove it to work today. I think the cold start injector is sticking and flooding it out. I unplugged the connector to it and it starts now. Not 100% sure thats it, but I at least have it going...I will update if I find something else..And thanks for the pics and info Justin 4 runner!

Joesands ,I dont have a 3.0 and am to lazy( to much beer) right now to look it up, but is it your fuel pressure regulator that you unplugged? You need a manual.

Is the vacuum line you disconnected from a VSV (valve) on the passenger side of the engine bay to your fuel pressure regulator? and is that where the fuel is now leaking from?
If it is, then you have a bad fuel regulator, that would also cause your flooding problem. Hook the brake booster line back up and check your fuel pressure regulator.

Whats it doing now? You said you thought the pulley slipped? Did you work that out ? and you thought it was a mixture problem ( to much fuel)?

Sam.
Yeah I got the balancer all fixed, and the distributor is all good. So I have it down to fuel mixture. I believe it to be too rich. It tried to start when I left it overnight with the throttle body open to help it air out.
