I have a tired 1993 sr5 4x4 that I want to restore. I want to keep the truck as close to stock height but fit 33's on 17 inch rims from my Tacoma. I was told an Oldman Emu kit was a good option as an upgrade and would better my 4x4 capability. I am a total beginner at 4x4s so was just looking for an opinion or suggestions. Trying to make it a daily driver that is capable of some good backwoods camping.

old man emu is far from stock ride height, but it would let you stuff 33s. as far as "bettering your 4x4 capability" , I guess if you get larger tires on, there by raising your diffs off the ground then yeah you've stepped up your game a bit.
