1990 toyota pickup 2wd exhaust reference

My 1990 toyota pickup 2wd 2.4FI exhaust system snapped off just after the o2 sensor. I have all the pieces but they are all SEVERELY rusted and damaged beyond reusing or repair.

Now my question is this... The stock pipe is 1.75in I believe. What size pipe will slip over this stock pipe to use a clamp with to secure? Im gettin a little confused about the measurements of exhaust pipes by whether or not they go by inside pipe diameter or outside pipe diameter.

Thanks in advance.

p.s. I am on an extreme budget but the exhaust is killing me on the road between the carbon monoxide and the loud noise. Ive been wearing earplugs to drive around with. lol

You should be able to get an adapter to go inside one side and outside the other .

Tell the parts person what you want to do.

Go to a Napa or Independent auto parts Autozone and Advanced Auto and the like if they can`t have the computer tell them what you need they can`t help you.

Of course there are exceptions
