Hello guys my name is Cody and im just curious in how to lift my 1990 SR5 its a v6 4wd. I have 3 inch lowering blocks for the back that you put under your leaf springs to lower the axle. Im just wondering how to do the front. I have asked everyone and everyone keeps giving me different answers to leveling kits to suspension and shock upgrades to torsion bars. Can some one give me a straight forward answer and what would be the easiest and cheapest way. I dont mind spending a little bit of money but a $100.00 budget would be fantastic. Thanks.

 

....You have coils in the rear, those blocks wont work.

for $100 you could get a body lift...maybe....

 

The easiest and most cost effective lift you could get would either be:

1: body lift (1" 2" or 3")
2: BJ Spacers for the front end and coil spacers for the rear.

I have leaf springs in the rear not coils. the blocks i have are perfect for the back but theyre 3 inches. all the leveling and spacer kits i see for the front are all 2.5 and 2 inches. Id like for it to look normal. I could always get 2 inch blocks couldnt i and get the 2 inch spacers.

 

If you have leaves, then it is an '89, not a '90.

Easiest and cheapest is a body lift.

Upper Ball joint spacers are available in 1.5" and 2", IIRC, where if you want more lift, you have to crank the torsion bars.

Usually people put more lift in the rear to counteract sag and because you typically haul heavier loads in the rear than in the front.

 

Oh well my door says 02/90 therefore i thought it was a 90 i guess i was wrong. Ok so essentially i could put 3 inch blocks under the leafs and crank the torsion bars to give me 2 inches and get some 1 inch spacers?
