1990 pickup rear diff upgrade

I have a 1990 pickup 3.0 I am trying to build. The engine is probably going to be replaced. Anyways, I have a 2002 Tacoma 4x4 rear locking diff. The truck is being parted out. Is the swap a direct swap? Or it won’t work ?? Anyone have tips?

If the gear ratio is the same, you can either modify your housing to use the locker 3rd, or use the complete Tacoma axle. I believe the ebrake cables are a bit different, and it's a couple inches wider, but other than that, it'll bolt right under the truck.

I bought a 4.10 TRD Tacoma with a broken frame last summer specifically to put the elocker axle assembly under my 87 4Runner.
