I recently got my uncles 1990 4 Runner. It has been sitting for about 5 years. It has the 22 RE with an automatic transmission. It needs a new kick down cable put on it, it’s too worn for adjustment. My ? Is does that have anything to do with shifting of any other gears? I got it fired up and tried driving but wouldn’t shift out of low only way I could get it to shift to 2nd is run it up to about 5,000 rpm’s before it would shift.
