Exclamation 1990 3vz-e

Hi Guys,

I have a shudder that developed between 50-60 kms on my 90' Sr5 4x4
Its 5 speed with the 3vZ-e

It develops after shifting into 4th gear and stays into 5ft gear. Accelerating
to 80-120kms clears it up. If the clutch is depressed the shudder will stay until
it gets down past 60kms again. Sound like a drivetrain / u-joint issue?
(Its a good shake too, where it seems something is out of balance / harmonics)

Engine runs great, although the oil pressure guage stays bwteen L---+---H
until wayyyy after the engine is hot then drops down to the regular Yota L-+-----H

If the clutch is depressed it would rule out the engine right, because the
shudder continues once disconnected and is speed related?

Thanks Fellas!

Arg

Have you had a universal joint off lately? If not installed in the exact same way, it will throw your driveshaft out of balance.

Also, mud inside the wheels can cause this~

I believe it's safe to rule the engine out. I would defiantly focus on drive shaft issues.

x3. sounds like some sort of balance issue. might have thrown a wheel weight or a drive shaft weight. or like TNRabbit says, u-joint issue.

Thanks guys, I never figured a wheel weight / D-shaft Weight. U joint etc.
I'll get that looked at ASAP. I figured engine was good, when u can depress the clutch and the shudder still happens. WHEWW!
