Hey y'all new here and I got ab1990 toyota pickup 2wd with a 1992 22re motor, converted to carburator from 1990 22r. She fires and runs for a few seconds and dies. It won't start back unless pedal is to the floor and when it is to the floor it's sounds really bad like it's not running on all cylinders.. replaced fuel filter took off and cleaned the carburetor checked vacuum hoses in the right place?? Don't know what to do

 

Hold on, its a 22R engine converted to fuel injection or a 22RE engine that was swapped into the truck that originally had a 22R?

 

It's a 1990 22r and motor was toast. So he dropped a 1992 22re motor in it, but got rid of fuel injection and put the 1990 carburetor on it instead as I was told..

 

Sounds like you inherited an abortion. You’re going to need to give us a lot more info about what was done for the conversion to be able to properly diagnose.
