1989 Rear U bolt Width?

I'm buying parts to fix a flat leaf spring on my 1989 4wd pickup. Everything I have read says 3" width u bolts but I've measured the inside spread of mine about and they look more like 3 1/8" to me. am I crazy? There are almost no bolts I can find online that are 9/16 X 6.5"-7" X 3 1/8" . Should I just order some 3" and proceed?

Hey Impaler, post some pictures of your spring pack and how it's held together. I thought that all of the 1st gen had the same size/set-up on the rear, but that may not be true. I recently upgraded my rear to OME lift, and the U-bolts that came with it (2.5 in I think?) wouldn't fit my perch at all. I pulled U-bolts off that were 3.25", but I don't think they were what was originally on the truck.

Which is all to say, your situation sounds not normal to me, and post some pics.
