Question 1986 toyota turbo efi

can anyone give me any information on these trucks ive looked for days now and its very hard to come by im 19 and just bought a 86 efi turbo that needs a new turbo truck is spotless with low miles ill be postin pics when i pick the truck up later this week also if anyone has any good parts websites to get parts for this year truck please send me a link thanks

Talking the new old yota is here!!!

1986 toyota 22re-c with only 138xxx with a non rusted out bed !! truck is beyond solid compared to my other yotas frame as been all redone but theres a couple spots i need to replace or reinforce so here some pics lemme kno what ya think

now for the bad the truck didnt run due to what the guy said was a stuck waste gate so i pulled the turbo and got the wastegate freed up but also found a nice crack in the house right by the wastegate theirs also a big crack on the inside of the turbine that i couldnt get a pic of

so there it is my new project for a while let me know what you think i plan on doin a full restoration on the truck seems like kinda of a rare truck so it wont be seeing mud that what the 91 is for

You can get 'em running pretty good. With a poor cam, mine saw 180hp at the rear wheels. I had to turn it back down, PSI-wise, because I'm not running an intercooler.

dyno chart is in the 22rte dyno chart thread. You'll see why the cam selection made by the shop was poor.

Wow. That cross member is truly scary. You need to give the frame a really thorough inspection. Looks like there's some significant rust issues under there.

the cross member is the only spot that needs to be fixed the rest of the frame is solid

i want alllll of your turbo badges for my 4runner!!

search for the tec tb20 turbo.. and try lc engineering if you want to spend but loads of cash.

If I recall correctly, a lot of guys swap to the CT26 turbo (the one off the 7MGTE Supra engine).
