1986 pickup

I was wondering if I could get some advice. I have this 1986 Toyota pickup 22re. We rebuilt the engine due to a bad headgasket. Anyways the truck has been sitting for awhile now since we pulled the engine. We finally got to getting the engine back in a couple of days ago. The problem we are having is that it starts and runs for about 3-5 mins then dies like someone shuts the key off. we checked fuel pressure and spark and we have both all the way to the point of it dying. Now the weird part is if we pull one spark plug wire off and put it on a spark tester it will start and run and never die. So any ideas would greatly be appreciated

Ebay has used 89620-351560 igniters, but they are not cheap. Here's one of the least expensive ones.

Just a heads up I found the fix it was were the harness goes over the exhaust manifold. It had gotten hot and melted inside the loom
