Yeah, I saw that. I'd take $15,000 for 2 of my 4Runners.

Perhaps the Smithsonian branch in Yokahama might want it, it certainly is close to museum quality.. or maybe they'll want it for a Toyota movie....
Too bad it doesn't have a 22re in it LOL

I could see maybe paying 5 grand because of the low mileage and if it was in perfect shape but 15000?!?!?! He'll never get close to that, and it ain't even a 22re!

Are you sure? I have the original window sticker for my 1988 SR5. Mine has every option and I think it was right around $20000 brand new.

That being said I would NEVER pay 15000 for that.

I dug out the window sticker, I don't have a scanner so you'll have to take my word for it.

MSRP $17,768.00
w/options the grand total on the window sticker is $22,066.00

Factory Installed Equipment Includes:
Power Package (door locks, windows, antenna, mirrors) $750.00
AC $795.00
removeable sunroof $350.00
Aluminum alloys $470
Chrome package $220
AM/FM stereo electronic radio with cassette, acoustic flavor control, and 4 speakers $540
Cruise control package $240
Rear heater $120
Fabric Sport seat package $290
Deluxe appearance package (carpeted floor mats and trailer hitch receiver) $283

Total FIE: $4058.00
Finally a destination charge of $240.00

The orignial owner of the vehicle went throught some sort of "buyer" to purchase the vehicle. There is another invoice from the buying agency in the packet of stuff he gave me when I bought the runner.

This invoice lists the dealer's cost at $15,014.00 withoout any options and dealer cost with the aforementioned factory installed options was $18,605.00

It is clean, but he does not know to much about it.
'89 was the last year for removable tops, not '88.

Plus it can not have a new car smell.
My rig is 4 months old now, the new rig smell is gone.

You can buy a freshener that produces "new car smell".

re: new price - I find this interesting b/c of inflation.

18k back then was a LOT to pay for a car!

Remember that this is an '88, prob sold in '87. Lets say 9 years old from today.

According to this caluclator

If it sold for 18,000 - that'd be about 30258.96 *if this was 2005*!
