1" lift blocks?

can we get back to blocks ?
I know blocks add stress in the form of axle wrap , the higher the block , the higher the stress load . And I think we all know how dorky a big lifted truck on 6" blocks look ...
... but how do we feel about simple cast iron 1 or 1.5 inch blocks . Way cheaper than AAL , easy to swap out , easy to keep an eye on ...
... and let's be honest , most of us are not running 300 HP through the rear axle and suspension . The potential stress issues and axle wrap are mitigated by the low amount of power / acceleration these trucks see ...

I don't know why an AAL wouldn't be safe on the front. Some people who do a SAS build their own leaf pack for the front. I can't see why that would be much different, IMO. As long as the suspension seems suited to the weight of your truck and drives well.

nothing wrong with aals in front or rear. Use them either end.
I had blocks on my Silverado. It was stock set up. Which I believe was the only difference between base model and z71 model as far as suspension. Point being the taller you go the worse off you are.
If its short blocks I would say your fine. Youll get the lift you want and retain ride. If you add an aal then you can gain height and load capacity but you can also deal with having different ride characteristics.
If all you want is a bit of height there is nothing wrong with small blocks.
I think a lot of stuff gets over thought.
Kiss...... keep it simple stupid
All this to say aal's can go on either end.
Blocks have there place and can be perfectly fine if used in right circumstance.
Tall blocks are goofy and I would never want to use them.

but, what about u-bolt length, or flip kits, )seeing if the leafs are worn out, im sure the ubolts are rusted almost through by now too) any suggestions on bolts / kits for a good price?
