Wheel well maybe

Hi folks, reelal here. I'm trying to find out what is the name of the metal part of the fender that is under the hood. I always called it the inner wheel well but every time I try that I get the plastic wheel well liner, so what is the proper name and is it replaceable. The one on my 85 runner is eaten up with battery acid. Can't seem to find any thing on it. Any help?

Toyota calls those panels "APRON, SUB-ASSEMBLY, FRONT FENDER."

The fender aprons are welded in parts.

As far as I know, new apron panels are not available. You, a friend, or a shop would need to either fix the existing panel or cut out a used panel from a salvaged truck and weld in the used panel.

Thank you, I was afraid of that. Just wanted to fix the battery mounting and now I know what. Thanks again.
