and, would i be better off with these 17s or a set of 16s as far as tire choices, etc.?

thanks

1. Yes they will fit.
2. Bigger wheels= more money for tires.

I did notice that! but,,,, i do like the look of an AT tire in a lower profile (i like the look and performance of MTs off road but do mostly frwy and street driveing so keeping the noise down is an issue).

what size tire would be appropriate for these 17s that would either equal 31x10.5 or 33x10.5 (i had 33x12.5 mt's on there and it handled terrible and was slow/poor mpg, loud, etc. so i don't want to go with at AT and not wider then 10.5 and not bigger then 33").

33x10.5 should be fine for handling, fuel/power issues right??

The tires that are on there are equivalent to 31".

285's would be equivalent to 33's.

And yes, there will be power loss.

ok, i see a big price diff b/t these tires but not sure why?

Nitto Terra Grappler AT
LT265/70R17E1 121R B at $186

and

P265/70R-17 113S B at $158.00

would these equal to 33x10.5 or?? they're the smallest 17's i could find (i really want the terra grappler).

thanks for all the help. ok, so if they're 31's then i should see no diff then, right? i'm running 31x10.5 on 15s now so wouldn't that be the same overall wheel circumference (with a lower sidewall width, ie: profile) or would it be 2" bigger therefore equelling a 33"?

i guess, i'm just trying to determine if i will be better off with 16s or 17s (i have to switch to one or the other b/c they don't make the terra grappler in a 15).

A 31x10.5 is a 31x10.5 no matter what size wheel it's wrapped around.
