wheel stud help

I'm in the process of rebuilding an 85 front axle to go under the front of my 92 4runner. I pounded the old wheel studs out of the hubs and tossed them. I went to Auto-Zone and picked up 12 new wheel studs (auto zone part number 610-266.1 ??? that's what's on the bag). Anyways, i went to install them and the studs only protrude from the hubs about 1/4", so they're too short.

I called the local stealership and they said i need toyota part number 90942-02053. Does anyone know the equivalent part number for either auto zone or napa?

Is that right? I had the exact same problem at every auto store here... you'd think at least one of them would get it right! But let us know if that's the right part number.. because I'm riding on some hacked off studs right now!

Yea.. that's the whole reason I never even looked twice to the dealer.. I can't justify spending 7 bucks on a single bold, when everywhere else is 2 bucks!

Thanks for keeping us posted!

Went to napa. I asked them for wheel studs for an 85 pickup and they brought out part number 641-1286. It was the same as the auto-zone studs. That is NOT the right one. I gave them part number 641-3126 and they brought out the correct studs. they were $2.39 each. They had them listed as hub bolts.
