what the heck is this

im unfamiliar with 4runners what the heck is this second door handle on the passenger side door

lets the rear passenger get out on their own.

You must have a 2 door 4Runner. I don't have one of those on mine.

It was only on 1st gen 4Runners. It was indeed for the rear passengers to have access to get out. Personally methinks its pretty useless as 4Runners dont really make a very good Taxi

I owned a 2 door 2nd gen that had that from the factory as well.
