What do I do with this after a Weber conversion? Had it on for a few years since I switched to the Weber, otherwise oil goes everywhere. Can I just remove it and fab up a block off plate? What have other done? It's part of the Emissions crap and no longer has anything going to it.

Slowly getting things back together after blowing a head gasket. Getting a new head, the old one is too thin and I don't want to use a shim. Pulled the pistons to re-ring it, have horrible blow by, only 25k on the rebuild.
Every top ring was broken, how the hell does that happen? Going to run a dingleberry hone through the holes before putting the pistons back in, don't have any crosshatch left, glazed over holes, at least it's nice and shiny!

Well, since nobody replied, here's what I found. Just block the damn thing off. Of course, that was after I already had everything back together, just a PITA to get to with the carb. on. Maybe I'll make something cool looking to put there in the TIG class I'm taking.

for now I still have mine on there. If I had seen the thread, I would have definitely replied.
LCE has a block off plate for that EGR valve. But you can make one out of an electrical box cover as well.
