tire clearance issues

i recently purchased some 35x13.5x15 toyo m/t's mounted on 15x10 rims that i think are 3.75" backspaced. I am having trouble getting them to clear the frame in the rear, and the leafs(leaves?) in the front. anyway, if i just get a new rear axle from, say a 2nd gen runner, will that be good enough to clear the frame in the rear at full stuff? as for the front would the typical match of 1.5" spacers work? thanks for all the help.

widening front axle

look into placing ifs hubs on your front axle. you can upgrade your brakes with fj rotors and v6 ifs calipers at the same time. sky-manufacturing.com makes a kit with a spacer to do this for $200 but many people have done the swap without the sky spacer. this should give you an extra 1.5in on each side to match the width of the ifs rear axle you plan on using. i am planning to do this to my runner when i get a chance. it seems stronger/safer then a wheel spacer.

I've been running 1 1/2" spacers up front to match the width of my '86 rear end for about 3 yrs now without any issues. I torqued them in place with Loctite red on the inner studs/nuts and have never had to retorque them------Hans

35x12.50x15s on 8" (3.75 b/s) steel wheels. I wheel it pretty hard and stuff them pretty good.....no clearance issues (the front end is moved 2" forward, though)-------Hans

mine are 13.50's on a 10" wide rim. i clearanced the fenders, so im ok there, but i noticed they hit the leaf springs when im at full lock and the rears hit the frame when the axle articulates.
