85 Toyota Pickup 22R engine. New carb, (Weber) fuel filter, fuel pump.
Starts and idles but when raising rpm will back fire. Also cannot get the timing to 0 degrees. it is about 3/8" to 1/2" the the right of 0 and the dizzy is adjusted as far as it will go in the adjusting slot!!!!

So when you rotate the crank around you can't line the mark on the pully to the 0 mark? And did you do anything new besides changing carb?
