I change the timing chain on my 85 pickup. Know there is a knocking noise, lost of power and during idel the vehicle cuts off.

You got a repair manual? you gotta' do some back tracking bud.

um, you set the timing marks correct right?
(crank at TDC & cam keyway at 12:00 noon)?

also, check the distributor. you might be off there too..
