spring question
ok so i got a 3-4" lift laying around.dont even know what brand.but i remember the fronts were pretty stiff.the lift was originally on a 79-83 and now its gonna go on my 85.
so do you think i can take the front pack apart and use toy leafs, and soften it up while retaining the lift.
i do know about just about every suspension option out there,but i wanna build a budget beater.basically free stuff.so im gonna use what i already have.and save money for that welder thats been on my mind for like 5 years.then go friggin nuts.

What I like to do is separate all the leaves, measure length, thickness, free arch and stiffness (deflection under load) and then use that information to help guide the building of the new spring pack:
