once again this is about the 85 i just purchased. i have heard that once a yota won't pass smog, it is extremely hard to make it pass again. what are the usual culprits for not passing smog on a 22r carburated engine? i wanna get this thing legal soon before registration cost go through the roof.

 

take it in and let the smog people tell you whats not passing??

 

for me last time it was the smog pump.that what they told me.i replaced it from a junkyard and it did better than factory fresh...though now it is getting rebuilt....still waiting on finding a shop to do that...
