*Sigh* Help please :(
Alright, so I've been working on a 1984 pickup build. Only has 105k miles on it...runs fine etc.
I go to start it yesterday and I hear a pop, then I lose all power- clock, radio, everything. Nothing will turn on. So I check the fuses and replace a blown 60A under the hood. I go to start it again and pop, same thing happens. I then decided to replace every fuse in the vehicle, both under the hood and on the driver's side kick panel. I just finished doing that and still have no power at all. The battery is new, purchased maybe a month ago, and the truck passed inspection just two weeks ago. Any idea of what could be wrong? Is there some sort of breaker switch that I could have flipped? I could really use some help.
Thanks

No need to replace a fuse unless its popped, they do not go bad. Id say if your blowing a 60 amp fuse, you have a chaffed wire thats grounding out. Start and look at your positive wire on the battery and start following out from there looking for wires that might be rubbing somewhere

.. I have seen the fuse block melt , and create a ground situation on a couple of the circuts .. un-bolt the fuse block and check it out .
