I'm in no hurry but I want to make this truck right. It only has 66k miles on it but I assume the original owner let it sit so long that it damaged the engine. Do you think a complete rebuild or just just heads need rebuilt the compression is good. Though the picture shows concerns. This a picture of the throttlebody open.

1988 is the worst year for the Toyota v6. I would find a 89 and up 3.0 to rebuild. 1988 had an issue with the block cracking under the freeze plugs at the top of the engine. Magnuflux will not present these cracks because of the location.

Compressions good? Does it knock at all? What makes you think the engines bad? Seafoam it to get all that gunk out. Then run it.

Seafoam or a 1/4 quart of ATF in the oil. Drive it for 50 miles and change it? I use whatever of the 2 are handy to get a quick clean on the inside.
