Replacement Downpipe Help??

So when I bought my lil 22RE equipped '84 2wd Yota I noticed the downpipe had been hacked. Somewhere along the line someone pot-welded some pipe to the factory "Y" and made it work-it has until recently.
Now that I'm getting an exhaust leak between the mani and the DP I need to find a replacement DP. I've found this aftermarket version from Bosal, anyone ever try one of these? Does anyone know if I can still get a factory DP from Toyota?
The exhaust leak is now pretty damn bad so I need to get on it sometime soon. The Bosal appears to be a dual downpipe for much longer than the stocker, wonder if this has any effect on performance.

Anyone hear anything about the Bosal replacement downpipes?

Well I can no longer get a DP from Toyota and with a local shop wanting $150 for a "custom" one, I'll either be hitting a junkyard or nabbing this Bosal. If I do get the Bosal, I'll let you all know how it fits and works.

Thanks

So the twin-downpipe I bought was actually an OEM-replacement for a 22R, not the 22RE that's in my truck which had a 2-into-1. Because I bought the 22R replacement I went ahead and used it but does anyone know why the 22R and 22RE downpipes are different?
Torque off the bottom seems to be less with the duals but power up top is definitely better.

Thanks all

Resurrection of an old thread.

I have a similar question...is there a difference in the downpipes between the 22R and RE? I have a downpipe that my buddy gave me that is from an 85, its definitely stock and its in really nice shape. I was wondering if I should use it in combination with my stock 22RE exhaust manifold.

Heres the one from the 85, looks like a big improvement compared to my set up

Here is my set up, it looks like the pipe broke at some point, and someone welded the downpipe flange directly to the collector. Can anyone confirm this, or is this stock for an 86 22RE?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if there is a difference in fitment or performance, but if you are wanting to let go of that RE-pipe, let me know as it's exactly what I need I believe.
