remove cylinder head w/o removing timing cover?

remove cylinder head w/o removing timing cover?

Can I remove the cylinder head of my 22r 84 pickup without taking off the timing cover?

Yeppers your suposed to put that on after you have timed the truck aka after head and cam install... the only thing I would be worried about is that your head gasket hangs over onto the timing cover and depending on who built the engine they could have used rtv on that edge and I would be careful taking the cover off so you dont tear the gasket.
