Rear bumper built around trimmed bed (85 pu)

Hey guys,
A while back I cut out the excess sheet metal behind the rear wheels (below the line of notorious bed rod that every pickup gets. I por-15'd and bedlined the outside to get rid of the rust and just chucked the sheet metal in the bin. I know Im not the first toyota guy to have done this. Now Im looking to chuck the stock bumper and hitch. Anyone built (or bought a bumper that would look good with this mod? And by good I mean functional. Obviously style wasnt my priority here. Im considering a Trail gear rock defense rear bumper but suspsect id need to modify it to fit right. If i find the right bumper (or design) Ill probably trim off all the extra metal below the tail gate to match. Between that and scrapping the huge tow hitch it should clean up my exit angle nicely. Thanks all.

Doubt a trail gear will work for you with as low as that bed sits. I was able to rework mine on my old 81 when I bobbed the bed.
to be honest it's hard to tell what you have going on because your pic chopped off the end of the truck.
Since it looks like you already built a flatbead why not just build what you want?

Yeah, sorry. Its the best picture I have and the trucks in storage for now. Essentially I cut horizontally across the body line that rots out until I hit the reinforced corner piece below the tail light. It just removed all the sheetmetal that extends below the actual bed line. Its the stock bed and the bed itself hasnt actually been raised, lowered or bobbed. Just missing some non-functional sheet metal between the rear wheel and stock bumper. I *think* the upper rail of the trail gear bumper would more or less follow that seam and the bottom rail would extend below that cut a few inches. But despite my googling I cant really find a good photo of that bumper on a long bed truck. If I could find that I could picture the fit with the missing metal. Mostly 4runners and a few bobbed rigs on my google results.
Fully custom fabrication would require purchasing a new welder and I live in a spot where its very difficult to just run down to the store and buy steel stock (2+ hours each way). Im not ruling it out, but hoping for some inspiring photos before I commit to that plan.
