Hi,

I'm currently restoring a 1984 Toyota Hilux (Pickup) and would like to remove the 1/4 vent windows and replace with full glass however they were not as common here in Australia. Would someone be able to help me find both the left-hand and right-hand door rubber seal and bar indicated in the picture below, and ship to Australia? I understand 84-88 Pickup/4Runner doors are the same so it could come from either model. I've also attached more detailed picture of exactly what I need.

You could probably trade or post yours up for sale because there are people wanting to do the opposite.

I know of Toyota salvage yards here in Tucson and Phoenix that would for sure have what you're looking for. IDK if they would be willing to ship to Australia. There's a guy that's always posting up parts for sale on Craigslist Tucson and another in Phoenix that always has doors, fenders and hoods. IDK if they are on Facebook Marketplace. Might be worth a look. The guy in Tucson sells on eBay but I don't know his username. Sorry I know I'm not helping much.

I have what you're looking for but I'm not ready to part with it yet. I'm building an 86 Xtra-Cab with vent windows. If I don't like them I may be swapping myself.

I had contacted one salvage yard in California, but they told me the only sell complete doors, which obviously is impractical to send to Australia. Do you have the names of some of the salvage yards in Tuscan or Phoenix I could try? A quick Google of "Tuscan Salvage Yard eBay" came back with Catalina Auto Recycling, does that sound like it might be right?

I actually have two sets of vent windows here that I can part with, as the doner cab also has them. I have brand new glass weatherstrips and 1/4 vent window gaskets, all which are genuine that I will need to part with if I manage to do the conversion. The gaskets I believe are discontinued from Toyota, although I know you can get aftermarket ones, but they are on the doner cab, and the quality is not as good. Just one of the gaskets has a little piece missing from the bottom corner, which is how I purchased it.

I won't need the parts for at least 6 months as the cab is only just about to be repainted, so if you decide you want to swap your parts in that time just let me know. Or if you could help source the parts for me from a salvage yard, that would be much appreciated.
