Propane Conversion: Tank Locations

I'm researching propane conversions for carbureted Toyota's. What I'd like to see, is how people mounted their tanks. I'd like to be able to fit two tanks in the back of a 4runner with room to spare for some gear. Has anyone done a chassis mounted tank like we use on diesels?

try here for a kit and mounting locations

I think the bed would be the best option for mounting, just install the brackets right behind the cab...

as far as propane for diesel...isn't that just to keep intake charge temps down and make more power? It doesn't run off propane alone, does it?

For safety reasons you're only supposed to mount the tanks in open-air locations, such as a pickup bed or 1st gen 4runner that ALWAYS has the top off.

I assume, since you've done your research, that this is an off-road only vehicle ?

Yes sir, dedicated trail rig. I did not however, think about the danger of putting the tanks inside the rear cargo area with the Topper on. Moment of clarity. That has pretty much botched my plans for now. I appreciate the input guys.
