Pinion angle help

Hey, I'm looking for some help on deciding on shims to correct my pinion angle. I've read a bunch and think I know what I need but also wondering what I might be able to get away with.
I lifted my 85 with trailgear's 3" lift and with the box on and after a few months of just sitting this is where it's at.
I think I need ~3.6° shims, now do you think I could get away with 2° or 4° shims as those seem like the easiest to get since TG sells those?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The shims will also be hopefully temporary as I have a rear axle from an 88 4runner that's wider and with the bigger breaks that I'd like to eventually build up with spring perches at the proper angle.

Is that a 2 piece drive shaft? I went single shaft with double Carden and rotated the pinion up. As you know it requires new spring perches. I would call Tom Woods drive shafts. They are super helpful and either answer the phone or call you right back. I'm sure they could tell you what would or wouldn't work in your situation.

Good luck and please post up your solution.

Yeah it's a 2 piece shaft, the stock '85 one.

Out of the two shim options, I would use the 4 degree if that's closer to you calculations. Let us know how it all works out.
