oil question

my truck eats up oil like there is no tommorow. its not leaking at all just burning it all up. in my point of view, supertech wal mart oil is about a dollar a quart. its going to get burned up in a week. would it be in my motor long enough to matter or as long as i keep it clean and topped off it wont make a difference.

Over here the supertech bottle is shaped like mobil drive clean bottles and as far as I know is made by mobil, just has a weaker additive package than 5000. Ive read that out west you still have the other type made by warren.. either is alright oil and I've used both types.

If my truck were burning oil like that and running thicker oil didn't slow it down considerably, I'd use the cheapest SL or SM rated oil for sure..
